I shot this kid almost 2 years ago. At the time, he was just starting to pursue a career in acting. Since then, he's gotten a few gigs and things are starting get more consistent for him. He wanted a fresh set of headshots. He's still looking through the proofs to make his selections but here are a few of the ones I liked.

    Thanks Charles. Two of my Alien Bees had broken flash flash bulbs that must've happened last time I used them on location. Not sure how since they were inside my big travel case and the protective dome was on them. I wish I had at least one more to use for a bit more kicker but happy with how these turned out.

    I love #1 and #5. Not a big fan of the expression in #4

    I would clone out the highlight on his gum in #1. That shot is my favorite.

    Thanks Mitchell. I noticed the gum thing this morning. Taken care of now on the original. Number 4 is definitely not an expression you'd normally capture but I threw it in because it's something he does a lot.

    BTW, I shot all of these with a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VRI.

    I'm glad you posted this. I have a coworker who just recently asked me to take a couple of pics for a book she is writing. If you do not mind, can you describe your lighting setup?
