The kids were on fall break last week so we took a family vacation to Maui. Although family trips are never conducive for landscape photography, I managed to squeeze in a few sunsets from a cool location I came across.

Can't wait to see these from my home monitor, but despite dell crap, these are heavenly!!clap.gifclapiloveyou.gif

Especially the first one! It is like fire is rising from the ocean, then touching the clouds and setting them on fire, and then turning into water that is bursting in front of you! (Booth Shot that!mwink.gif)

Well done my friend! Lets nail the fall and winter! Cheers!

Beautiful set. I always like it when the shadows are retained. Every picture needs a little mystery. I particularly like #2. Nice detail in the rocks and the clouds.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Still going through my shots from the trip. Here are a couple more contenders I found in the pile.

Great set. The first would be my fav, but the first of the 2nd 2 is also wonderful with the wave action. Did you need a towel? thumb.gifthumb

Each one is striking to me, although #2 stands out a little more than the others.

    Well done.

Thanks, 'dog! I don't think I used a towel once in Maui -- I just stayed wet the whole time! Laughing.gif. Seriously, in and out of water constantly there. Plus you dry pretty quickly anyway. I do get nervous scrambling over wet rocks with all my gear though, especially in the ocean. I've have some close calls in the past, and I know some day it's gonna catch up with me.

As I said on FB... last one is my favorite. Nice job Joel. What location was this? I'm going to Maui in in April so would like to try to one-up that last shot of yours. Laughing.gif

Gorgeous set of pictures. I really like the wave splashing in the second set. I'd say that's my favorite :D
