Ruby returned - but had got trapped in my kitchen!

This ruby tailed wasp (jewelled wasp some call them) somehow managed to get into the kitchen today, but I trapped it in a tub and opened it up on the wall outside, where it proceeded to start hole hunting!
It eventually went into the brown rawl plug into which it was looking in the first image.
