Pristine condition cosmetically and mechanically. Glass is absolutely clean with no scratches, dust, etc. The outside is perfect too. Zoom and autofocus are smooth and accurate.
Comes with original front and rear caps and the original hood.

$465. Plus buyer pays shipping, packaging, and PayPal fees, if any. I'll consider close offers, but whoever offers $465 first gets it.

I can also meet you locally in DC/Baltimore area.

Feel free to ask any questions.

This lens is tiny and very light compared to the 70-200mm yet it offers great quality and same wide 2.8 aperture throughout the range. The build is very solid and feels a lot more expensive than the lens actually is.
The HSM is Hyper-Sonic Motor, which is equivalent to Canon's USM rating. This ensures that the auto focus is very fast and virtually silent.
In addition, this lens is parfocal. This means it retains selected focus when the focal length (zoom) is changed. This is very useful for those times when you need to fine tune the focus and then zoom out or when you can't afford spending the extra fractions of a second on refocusing, like in sports. On a related note, the lens stays the same size throughout the zoom settings, making it easier to hold. Of course, the front element doesn't rotate while zooming or focusing either - useful for polarizing filters.

This lens was made in Japan.

Here is the official website for the lens.
Some features of this lens:
APO (APO Lens)
In order to attain the highest quality images, the APO lens has been made using special low-dispersion (SLD) glass and is designed to minimize color aberration.
HSM (Hyper-Sonic Motor)
This lens uses a motor driven by ultrasonic waves to provide a quiet, highspeed AF.
IF (Inner Focus)
To ensure stability in focusing, this lens moves the inner lens group or groups without changing the lens' physical length.
Conv (APO Teleconverter EX)
This lens can be used with the APO Teleconverter EX. It can increase the focal length and will interface with the camera's AE (automatic exposure) function.
EX (EX Lens)
The exterior of this lens is EX-finished to denote the superior build and optical quality, and to enhance its appearance.
