"Crop Thumbnail" does not work?

I've switched to the new Smugmug (nice!), default Smugmug theme, grid view for folders and galleries. My cropped thumbnails however do not transfer to the square thumbnails for folders and galleries :-( This worked fine in the old version of Smugmug. Now just a square cut out of the centre of the image, I've tried to cropping some thumbnails again, no joy!

Anyone else has the same issue? Any fixes? Please help!

    Have a look here... some others have a similar problem (including myself).
