This fungus was found growing on the trunk of a tree in a local wood on a chalk hill. It is the only species in the genus, is related to the jelly fungi and is rare. I have never seen it before but it is tiny, the fruiting bodies about 2mm across. It was growing up through cracks in bark on the vertical trunks. I have turned the images through 90 degrees for more comfortable viewing.

EM-1, Kiron 105mm f16, TTL off-camera diffused flash, hand-held.

The images have been cropped, mostly vertically.
