Also known as the Fairy Fan, this ascomycete is found in coniferous woods. This one, found yesterday, was about the size of my thumb.

EM-1, Kiron 105mm, twin TTL RC flash, hand-held.

The stereos are cross-eye.

    Yes, the Ascomycetes are a weird lot. No standard cap and stem as in the gill fungi.
