The same saguaro appears in all four shots, photographed from different places on the same morning. Criticism would be appreciated. I have trouble with these kinds of images.

#2 is my favorite as I think the warm background colors really set off the saquaro. I like the abstract nature of #4. Is that with your infra-red camera? Nice set.

Taz, Wayne, thanks. Yes, the last is infrared. I worked up a black and white version of the last composition taken with my regular camera, and the infrared version was much more interesting.

A nice set. I like the warm light of 1, The pastel colors of 2, the IR and detail in 4. I would consider flipping 4 horizontally, just a thought. thumb.gifthumb

Thanks, Phil. I tried rotating 4 and it looked like a vertical shot that had been rotated, but the feedback is appreciated..

Very nice study of the cactus in good light, Don. #4 is very unique. It also reminds me of a certain Johnny Cash photo. https://iconicphotos.wordpress.com/2009/08/22/johnny-cashs-finger/

#4 is my favorite. I like the lighting and perspective (and B&W).

    #2 and #3 for me.

(The last is great, but stands on it's own, for the comparison, I like 2 and 3 over 1)

I like the sunlight on the plants in 1, but it's not enough to make the image for me, I feel a little bit cramped in the foreground under the saguaro, and the rest of the color is better on 2 and 3, plus, I think 2 and 3 show how beat up the cactus is more.
Yeah, if you recognize the avatar, new user name.

Thanks, JC. I've come to prefer number 2. There's nothing much wrong with number 1 but nothing much right with it, either.
