A couple of flower shots

These are just a couple of shots of a flower in our front yard. I find it amazing what happens right after a rain shower. I saw these and just had to snap off a couple. Besides, I was getting tired of shooting hard targets and coming up short. I figured these were easier (yeah, but not by much).

This one, I tried out my GF Lightshpere. Worked pretty well. I was probably just a little close, but the flash seemed to have handled the exposure quite nicely.

As always, C&C is welcome.
Thanks for looking.

Very nice flower. IMO the background is a bit too busy in both captures.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Scott,

I think I like the lighting of the second shot better but I have to agree with Dick in that the background is a bit distracting in both. Both are still good shots though.

    Thanks for sharing them,

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
