    You have some really nice things going on here but your cropping is hurting them. The top crop is too severe to the head. You've got to leave more room above. When you put that in a frame you will hit his head. Your lights seem to be a little too high. Try bringing them down some and see if you like that better.

    Thank you hackbone for the help I did a re crop on them and does look better thank you. And for the lighting ya I'm pretty new to it so was not 100%sure what would bbe the best placement for them. I had the main light camera left and aarge reflector camera right on the ground pointing upat a 45

    This sounds stupid but take a bike foam helmet and put an arrow in it at a 45 degree angle. Front to left and top to bottom 45. Now put it on a subject and the arrow is pointing in a specific direction. The main light should be coming in from that angle for traditional portrature. No matter where or how the head is tilted the light goes on the sight line of the arrow.
