Not much time to play as darkness falls and tea was a'cookin... but did grab a few quick shots, and this is the opening edit...

Eristalis Pertinax at rest as on the variegated laurel where the light was not overly bright...

Some NR applied.

A cut above the standard 100 mate. This is a fantastic shot. Nailed it on the exposure and sharpness.

The NR is spot on and the image is SHARP!!!!!

Ps. ya gotta love the "mirrored" milky way in the beasties eyes.

ISO 2500, needed Imagenomic to take the BG down.

I used the Auto ISO function in AV at f/10 to get a fast enough shutter speed - and it was a waiting game because of the wind which was moderately strong. Missed about 10 shots due to the plant branch moving out of the way as they do when its gusty!

    Cheers ears.

Aye, no IS can fix the wind :D.

I use imagenomic Noiseware on all of my images, even at ISO 250 with a Layer mask to get those extra creamy backgrounds :)

IS 2500 on that 70D with the new lens.... Awesome.

Yep, and then I erase a bit off the main subject too to pull the sharpness out there more...
