    You might want to check Adorama ..... $170+ for new, $150 range for new. I'll be getting it there instead.

    Why would you buy a DX format lens anyways? I see you have a D200 as well but FX lenses work on DX cameras. Why dont you save that money and buy some pro glass?

    Oh, I have the pro glass, I don't need anything aside from a 300mm 2.8 ;) This is for my D50 that I'm giving (loaning until she outgrows it) to a friend. All I have are crappy Quantaray 18-55mm lenses for it or some such. I'd like to give her a LITTLE reach and am not against paying a tad for it. I DID have a good lens for that, but sold it to another friend starting off in photography :)

    Ah i see makes sense. Just thought that was kinda odd at first. How do you like the D3?

    love love love love. but I do horse shows and such, so it's rather required (especially indoors). Course, if it could magically turn into a D3s, I'd be elated, but.... heh. yeah :D
