Hide caption, title and description

Hi

I'm using a gallery with journal style and some of my photos don't have a title. But even if the setting 'show filenames' is disabled, the filename is used as title!

The option 'show filenames' seems to be for the more descriptive photo description under the title.

There should be two options. One for the title, one for the description.

When Show Filenames option is enabled, the filename will appear in the Caption field, not the Title field. Was a title added to the image file(s) with your photo editing application? Provide me with a direct link to an example photo on your SmugMug site and I can take a closer look.

I used the field 'title' in Lightroom. If this is empty, the filename gets displayed as title, even if 'show filenames' is disabled.

    Sorry, no link.

    But gallery looks like this:
    picture
    title
    caption

And it would be nice to hide caption AND title if they're empty.

Can you email us at help@smugmug.com with a link to one of the photos in that gallery so we can take a look please? That will really help us troubleshoot the issue.

I don't know why you can't create your own example? Because it's reproducable:
    https://garfieldklon.smugmug.com/Misc/2016/Test/

title and caption fields are empty, option 'show filename' is off.

And I realized that the option 'SmugMug searchable' hides/shows the keywords. Not very obvious, and also here, why not a dedicated option for that?

The filename in that photo is showing in the Title field, which isn't associated with turning off filenames in the gallery settings. I'm emailing you to open a help ticket so we can dig into this further with you and see what may be happening :).

You can email smug from this page - http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/emails/new.
    I'd recommend referencing this thread.
