A few shots from a recent trip to Madrid Zoo. My first trip there since upgrading my Canon 500D to the 70D.

I always visit here in the Winter months, and during the week. I take a day off work, when it's too cold for most people to go. I usually get the place more-or-less to myself, and it's a lot nicer than wrestling with the hordes during the Summer!!

    Thanks very much :D

The reptile house is the one I am most excited about when I visit. For some reason they always seem to photograph very well .... I guess because they are usually still.

It's the reason I go in the "off-season" months, so I can take a tripod without getting in everyone's way. It's dark in there, so handheld high shutter-speed shots are pretty much impossible.

    Cheers,
    James

Nice shots. I agree with Taz - the reptiles are great. I particularly like the lizard shot.
