My photos of the splendid Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria) - the last one standing at Samlesbury Hall in the enclosed lawn area this morning - but it was on borrowed time as The Lawnmower Man (aka groundsperson) was making a beeline for them with his mower!!!

I managed a couple (one better than the other) with a small ichneumon wasp on the toadstool (seen here at the top left). The environment ones includes the edit with a touch of lens flare where the morning sun was coming at the tall toadstool a few feet beyond the agaric.
