Hi

I know we have 2 options to let the Customer download the pictures

1- Let the option to download ( remove the right click )
2- In the gallery click on downlaod and I received a link

Question

1-If I let the user to download the picture frome the gallery What is the setting to have a better resolution for the Customer is it ORIGINAL ??? My Customer try to print at a photo lab and the employee said it's poor quality and we will see the pixels... But my photi is in high resolution

2-If I asked for the zip file from the smugmug link do I need to set the MAXIMUM DISPLAY SIZE to original or it's not an issue

Th goal is to let the Customer print itself the pictures

A right-click save will save the version of the photo as it is shown in the browser. Depending on the size photo shown and clicked it may or may not be suitable for printing.

If you want your viewer to be able to download the Original for printing - and you intend to allow the download for free - then set Maximum display size to Original and set right click protection off. This will enable a download button for the photo. See help page at http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93266-can-i-download-photos-from-my-smugmug-site-to-print-myself-.

If you request a zip of the full gallery from smug it will contain the original-sized photos.

Three related questions about Zip Files ( I looked in "Help" & didn't find answers to these, & I too am considering how best to share a bunch of photos with family members & allow them to download) :

1. They don't cost anything, correct?

2. Is there a limit to how many Zip Files you can ask for (per week, per year, etc.)?

3. Do photos you have marked as "hidden" show up in Zip Files, & if so, are they marked somehow? ( Still on Legacy, for the time being, & I'm not sure if that makes a difference)

Anna Lisa,

1. zip files are indeed free of charge

2. you can ask for as many zip files as you'd like.
3. hidden photos are included in the zip files and they are not marked.
