What does it mean "you have to log in to leave a comment"

So I want the client to cull the gallery of images they don't want to consider.

I can't use the THUMBS UP feature.

They don't seem to be able to leave a comment un an image unless they are registered some place.

Is there a convenient way for clients to do this?

Any ideas?:dunno

Unfortunately your viewers must log in to leave a comment. Currently they must log in using a SmugMug, Facebook, or Google login. There is no workaround.

There is a request to remove this requirement at http://feedback.smugmug.com/forums/17723-smugmug/suggestions/4262376-remove-smugmug-facebook-log-in-requirements-for-co. There is also a long thread in the feature request forum, add support for sign in (for comments) > Google, others.

Thanks for your time Denise! I just created events and had them do the favorites gallery thing. A little clunky but it has always worked in the past..... THANK YOU!!
