I was checking my StatCounter today and I saw this Never heard of this. Looks like someone is possibly recording my slide show from my home page. Any concerns? Link to this site. http://srecorder.com/

I realize anyone can do this with a phone, etc. I did send an email to SmugMug but they basically said they hadn't seen it before and to contact StatCounter. ???:scratch

My 2c is that as long as we can put something up on screen (video, slideshow, audio, photos), they can and are copied.

I do a routine check of my images on Google Images and Tineye and send out DMCAs where I find violations. Normally, a hosting company is quick to respond, but when you get one telling you to 'get lost' (if they are not in the USA) you have to decide whether it is worth your while pursuing a costly legal route, or not :(

As a matter of interest, even Quicktime allows you to do this.

Issues like this is why it's almost essential to watermark your images. Even if they are saved (one way or another), the end result in useless for the thief.
