Crop Thumbnail Tool change

What happened to the crop thumbnail tool? All of a sudden a smaller box shows up
and we can't make a tight crop. If fact we can not make any change to the crop
except for moving it right and left. All this is selecting 1x1.

I can hit reset then crop small but 1x1 does not work, just goes full height.

Edit: Looks like selecting any ratio does not work, all stay full height.

Of course I didn't save the crop, but as you can see from these screenshots, these are your images, and the tool does work.

I just cropped a thumbnail on my site, it worked perfectly, and quite fast, too.

You missed the point, nothing smaller then full height can be achieved here. The whole tool is smaller
then it was before. See screen shot.

The bottom screen, tool pops up full size then instantly shrinks to the top screen below. In the top
screen shot below the tool is much smaller. No mater what ratio I select it will not crop below full
height.

I opened Web Developer to try removing CSS and see if it was something in there causing it. I stretched
the screen width so the site window was original size when the edit sidebar popped in. Deleted 1st CSS
block then hit undo. Now crop tool opens full size and doesn't shrink and can select small crops. I have
no idea why it corrected itself?

I'm getting that small thumbnail crop window/popup shown in post #4 again.
