Unable to edit/name theme in new Smug

Steps to reproduce:

1) login and choose "Customize->Customize Site"
2) Choose "Entire Site"
3) Choose "Theme" tab
4) Click wrench for settings
5) Make some changes, as an example I changed the bg image
6) Try to hit "Done" the "Basic" tab turns red and I tab over for a message asking me to name the theme.
7) I type in a name
8) Hit "Done" again and nothing happens.
I have to cancel out and it loses all changes

Second attempt, very similar but I try naming the theme before making any changes...
1) choose "Customize->Customize Site"
2) Choose "Entire Site"
3) Choose "Theme" tab
4) Enter a new name
5) Make some changes, as an example I changed the bg image
6) Hit "Done" again and nothing happens.

Okay, maybe I need to save the theme with a new name BEFORE anything, then go back in?

Totally lost now. Can't seem to make any changes to themes.

Using Chrome on Mac if that helps.
