Lens is sold.

Hi, I have this nikon lens for sale..
I've used it with my 5d mark ii, but I am saving up for 70-200mm as I'd probably use the zoom more.

focus ring is smooth, aperture ring works fine and you can experience f/1.2 at much lower cost.

This goes without saying, but it is manual focus only.

Included in the sale is:

front cap, rear cap, nikon metal hood(HN-2), nikon to eos adapter, and the lens itself.

The adapter is just for physical fit, no AF confirmation provided.

Price is $415($400 if you use gift option) with paypal and USPS priority shipping to continental US.

If you do not want the adapter, I will subtract $15 from price above.

Looks like a nice lens. Nikkor AI-S, probably produced in the early 1980s. Nine aperture blades. Ken Rockwell says this lens' claim to fame is that it's actually fully sharp at f/2, unlike nearly all other super-fast lenses. Even at f/1.4, it's cleaner than the much more common Nikkor 50mm f/1.4.

I have several Nikkor primes of similar vintage (though not one of these) and they're all wonderful. I'd love to have a 50mm f/1.2, but I've been spending a lot on photographic stuff lately, so with regret, I'll have to pass for now.

Question: I know some Nikkor lenses require minor modifications (such as filing down metal tabs on the rear end) to mount on Canon cameras. Has this one been modified in any way or is it still exactly as it came from the factory?

this required no modification. I do not have a nikon camera so I haven't used it on a nikon, but I am sure it'd work fine.
I can probably ask a friend(with d700) to mount it on his camera, but that will take time. If it's not gone by the weekend, I will ask.

I would guess that he meant focus ring not zoom ring.
