Using Facebook for Business?

I have not yet set up any Facebook for my photography. I do have a personal Facebook account. Frankly, I don't use it a lot, and most of the stuff posted I really don't care to bother with.

If I have a Facebook account for my photography, I prefer to have a separate one. I've read just a little on the Facebook for Business accounts. But one thing I noticed is this on their help page:
You may create a business account if you don't already have a standard Facebook account...

Please be aware that managing multiple accounts is a serious violation of Facebook’s Terms of Use. If we determine that an individual has more than one account, we reserve the right to terminate all of their accounts.

So it seems I would need to close my personal one.

At any rate, I'm curious what anyone out there in Digital Grin Land are doing. I have read a few posts here of some success with Facebook.

If you already have a personal account, you can create a separate "Business Page" by going to:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php (just make sure you're logged-in to your personal account).

After you've created the Page, you can then manage/edit it :-)

Cool. Thanks for that. So I presume the separate 'page' will not get all my personal Faceback chatter.

I presume also that in the end it will be my same account. But, it would be tied to my personal email rather than business email, no? It leaves me wondering if there is something I would want from a business account that I can't get from the personal account. Interest in anyone's thoughts on that.

On a side note: An interesting thing, before I read about the rules against multiple accounts, I tried to create a business one. Facebook wouldn't let me because my 'business' email had Info as the addressee, ie. info@shuttermaster.co. Reason was "We do not allow emails with Info as the name, because those are typically business accounts". I had to laugh. Rather ironic, can't create a business account with the address of info@<whatever> because that is a business email address <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/eek7.gif" border="0" alt="" >

If you want to keep your business and personal completely seaprately, you need to make two separate accounts that don't have anything to do with each other. Interesting they don't let a business signup with a typical business account. Just one of the many quirks with fb that I'm not looking forward to when I finally sign up.
