    My favorite spot I go some one set up feeders and there is one gentlemen that comes and puts suet out for them. This place is always active with people walking dogs and so forth. In time birds get used to this and become less skittish. However I use my sigma 150-500mm and most the time I am @ 500mm. Another key is not wearing bright color clothing. Birds are not color Blind as some people think.
