Tips for printing large?
Alright, so a client has ordered a 20x30 ThinWrap and it's my first one. However...

I'M TERRIFIED

They were engagement portraits and while this one wasn't the best one I've done by any means technically, it has a lot of sentimental value to her. But, what if it comes out terrible!! What if she's disappointed?!? What if I'M disappointed?? I'm trying to dot my i's and cross my t's before I put the order through proof delay. What tips can you guys offer to ensure that this print comes out the best it possibly can?

Good grief! I wasn't expecting advice from the COO, and in less than 5 mins. I always knew SmugMug was better than all the rest but that's truly unmatchable.

Thank you, Andy. The photo is here: http://nicolesabourin.smugmug.com/En...dd13wide-M.jpg
I had originally posted a tighter crop for her gallery, but when I realized she wanted the ThinWrap I replaced it with a wider crop so that the street sign and dog's tail wouldn't be wrapped around.
The order is #3008224.

Happy to help

The photo is not terribly sharp, but I'm sure both you and the client know this, yes? If they're judging it only by what they see on screen, they may think it's very sharp. That's my only concern, especially since it'll be 20x30.

Here's a 100% crop of a portion of the original:

Only you can really judge if they'll be happy. I'm sorry there's nothing we can do to make the photo sharper, I wish we could. Let me know how you'd like to proceed, OK?

Yes, I was aware of that. Why can't the clients just love photos for the reasons we love them! :)

I wasn't sure if the print guarantee applied to canvases and ThinWraps too? Of course I hope she'll be happy, but I don't want her to be stuck with something she hates, so I will discuss the lack of sharpness with her and let you know if she wants to take it off the order.

Our Guarantee knows NO bounds But it is always best to know as much as possible before the order. Let us know how it works out!

I would go with Andy's comments of sharpness can't always be fixed, but I have found using some of the NIK Software such as Viveza or Silver EFX pro you might be able to get a little more apparent sharpness using the structure levels.
