Busy bugs

Apologies to all who actually have a macro lens and know how to shoot macro photos. I don't. I was fascinated today, though, watching some red-shoulder bugs on my pool screen. That side of the pool screen is right under a camphor tree.

The bugs have dragged the camphor berries up the screen a few feet and are sucking the juice from them. I just took two photographs (with a white foamboard on the other side of the screen), but there must be a 100 bugs with berries along that side.

The thing that fascinates me is that they have moved the berries from the ground to positions higher up on the screen. I watched some drag a berry up.

I think I have the bugs correctly identified. They are a very familiar sight in central Florida this time of year. Harmless, as far as I know.
