Really getting into photographing field trials for pointing dogs. Years ago I ran dogs in them. The dog's are some super athlete's.

Cast off. The rider's on horse's will follow the dog's about 1/2 hr. Dogs will be out anywhere to 400 yds plus.

The dog's are in high gear really soon after cast off. This just a few yds out.

Dog's find all the birds they can and point and hold the bird until the handler get's there. There is a chukar a short way in front of this dog. This is in a call back where the dog's have to show they will retrieve a fallen bird.

I watched this dog the weekend before and that weekend and this the dog won it's class. This is retrieving the bird to the handler. The dog's name is "Witch Hazel", really nice dog.

Thank you. I had some of the dog's standing while the bird was being shot but thought that might not be to good.
