Yellow-headed Blackbird (earlier hatch than previous).

I didn't see one Green Heron, which is unusual for this marsh.

Great shots Ric! The Yellow-headed Blackbird juvenile made me laugh. It looks like he is wearing an orange hair piece! rolleyes1.gif

    Thanks, Glenn! :D

    Donald Trump impersonator!!!rolleyes1.gif

If you could have seen him and his Mom you would really have had a belly ache!

He kept at her unmercifully for grubs he could have picked up for himself. Finally she got on top of him and pecked the hell out of the back of his head!

    The complaining BB was 40D + 100-400.

The rest were the 400 and the 1DMKIIN.

The 5D MKII isn't well suited to wildlife shots.

Man, I do not know how you guys get purple martins in flight! Amazing. The rest are up to the usual standards, nice detail and poses.

Out of that bunch of your usual 'detailed' shots I really like the purple martin. thumb.gif Nicest of catches on that one. Like the kildeer too, strange bird always on one leg it seems.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I have Killdeer right out my back door that won't sit still for a second. So...I drive up to Wisconsin for the more sedate ones!

The exposure was okay...but I used every trick in the book to bring out a little detail from the darker areas.
