First attempts for milky way! Much more difficult this, then one would think! Not to mention DANGEROUS! Almost took tumble twice into Davey Jones locker!
Used some light painting.

All helpful pointers for future endeavors are sincerely appreciated and all criticism is heartily cherished!

Hey, not bad! Bixby Bridge looks like as good a place as any for a MW landscape.

Beautiful! I prefer #6 with the low-key bridge and no carlight accents.

Taz, these are wonderful shots of the MW. As good as most illustrated astronomy books I have. I really like #1 as well. Great set as always! clap.gifthumb

Thanks Chris! I think that may be my favorite too! Once there I realized some assistance from ambient light and started to think ways to steal it. Had to be careful though because if Car was too close, it blows the photo up completely and so timed there movement on the road in a way it will only be in shot for 3-5 seconds. Took the shot without cars just to be sure and that turns out to be better one! Who knew!:D

Thanks my friend! Learned few tricks! Hope to share them in future when you got MW hunting! Need to find either great silhouetted scene or invest in light-painting equipment and then with trial and error you get there! Looking forward to your bridge shots! Cheers!wings.gifivar

Thank man! Can't say enough about all your tips! Need to get better handle on light painting....then booth shots!:D
Next chance we get at this would be in August, from 12-16th. Hopefully, one of those evenings would be cloud-free and fog free! Cheers!
