Nice set overall. The tosser from this set for me is 2. She looks great but picnic tables and this type of shoot just don't go together. The full body shots for the most part are good, the backgrounds compliment. I do think some of these could have benefited from shooting at a longer focal length. For 5 you shot at 47mm at f4. Assuming you were using your 24-105, shooting at 105 f4 would have made her pop against the background. You used 105 for the close up. I think a good exercise would be to use the 24-105 as either a 24 mm or 105 prime. You seem to get in a comfort zone and use the zoom to compensate. Instead of using the zoom, use your feet and treat the zoom as a 105 prime.

I like the warmed picture, but then I have been accused of my pics being too warm.

    Thanks as always Jon.

Interesting idea about the 24-105 "prime". I may try that or do a whole non-headshot set with my 85mm 1.8. HMMMMM

On the other hand, not many of my models are 5'11" so I sit a lot. Perhaps it's my butt that will be the zoom. Laughing.gifOL

Steve, you know that I come from a completely different style of photography so take this with the old grain of salt but these are not you better work. Most of the poses are not feminine and or flattering to the body. The backgrounds compete with the shots in the blue outfit more than they should. I see her as very feminine and the poses seem more toward the edgy side and don't go with the outfits.

I always enjoy your work as you come up with some great ideas and execute them well. You also choose great sites to work in that add to the shots. Those gals are fortunate to have you in the Hudson Valley.

Thanks Hack. Believe it or not, you just told me that I HALF succeeded.

Kyha wanted "Versace edgy" but on a Walmart wardrobe budget. Laughing.gif I am in NO way an editorial or "edgy" photographer, but I went through some magazines and mostly directed her poses in this one. If you picked up edgy, even if I did it wrong, at least I can mimic poses. Laughing.gif

Nice work, however I do have a few comments:

    - The picture with RED are having an issue with over saturation /contrast in the reds, hence the dress is losing its detail. Red is a difficult color to shoot, try to lower the contrast on the red and reduce a bit the red luminance and saturation.

    - For one or the other reason I get the impression " Look at my legs, I will lift my dress so you can have a glance at them" . It creates a "cheap" feeling and does not create elegance and sensuality .
