Discovered growing wild in Wakayama, Honshu, Japan many years ago, with careful cultivation, the ‘Soryu’ Blue Dragon has only recently become available commercially as seed-grown plants, selected for true colour.

The normal colour of B. striata is with magenta where the ‘blue’ is shown here. (Blue, in flower colour is often used for lilac or purple).

Three stereo images are presented, cross-eye, conventional and a colour (red/cyan)anaglyph (some sharpness lost). Even at f16, I had to be selective with DOF. I shot a pair at f22 but they were a bit soft.

EM-1, Kiron 105mm macro, f16, Twin, diffused TTL RC flash of-camera on brackets, hand-held.
