I don't do mini-sessions but this is as close to doing them as I get. Four families got together for a session. They valued getting it done quickly because the kids were ready for ice cream and I got the sense just getting ready was a chore. Since it was 4 families I suggested showing up an hour and half before sunset just to have enough time. However it was a bright evening, too bright for kids on the beach so I found a spot shaded by a pavilion and we started there. 30 minutes later this part was done and they were happy. I tend to shoot at various locations around the beach until sunset but they were ready to go. I wanted to do more because the sunset was going to be great but ice cream overrides sunset. These are from a proof gallery with basic edits thus watermarks.

Jon, I really love your work. The subjects look very comfortable and to me your lighting is just fabulous! thumb.gif

Thanks! It helps to have toy props in the wagon I keep my gear in, and moms seem to like having something to put their baby bags in. I have found little details like that go a long way to getting client's confidence. The dad's from this session liked it lasted 30 minutes.

Nice work. I think 3 is my favorite. It really gives us a feel for her personality. Kids are tough as you can only jeep their attention for a very short time.
