Yea... I bet that was your tripod used in the last photograph mwink.gif.
Tripod, shmipod...all very good but the last one is my favorite. The lights make it!

Great shots. I especially like #1.

When I'm traveling in EU a tripod is impractical while on tour. I usually pack a mono pod for those rare shots that dictate more stability than hand held.

    Where were the shots taken?

    Hi Tim,
Thanks for your comments. The castle in question is Conwy Castle in north wales. It's only 10 minutes from home, I wasn't expecting a colourful sunset, and typically I'd left my tripod at home.
So I put my back pack on the floor, and balanced the camera on it, with timer and delayed shutter set, pushed the button and hoped the spring back of the back pack would settle before the shutter fired.
Didn't have my filters with me either, so some serious shadow recovery was required in Lightroom.
    Carl

And after the spanking... the oral sex!!

Sorry, these wonderful shots and the title brought that to mind!

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

Tripod, tripod, who needs a tripod when you can improvise so well! Nice shots - I especially like #1.
