This is the first time I've ever played with RAW...in Digital Photo Professional at that.

Just thought I'd share a pic of my son.

    What a sweet photo! Normally, people say that black and whites need to have a lot of punch to work, but I really like the subtle tones you've captured here. Very nice. :)

    Hi Doug and welcome to the forum! Darling shot of your son. You will enjoy working in RAW, it's like a whole new world!! Like Debogggy said, some people will say that B&W needs to be punchy to work. Not true in every shot, but yes, it does seem to the norm. This shot could use some more contrast in my opinion (looks underexposed). Keep playing with those sliders, you'll be amazed at what you can do! thumb.gif
