Custom Header Not Working

I recently noticed that some of my galleries no longer had my custom header displayed. In playing around with it a bit I find that this problem is linked to the setting for "Appearance". If Appearance is set to Smugmug I can use/choose any style available and it will work as advetised but my custom hearder is not displayed. However, If I set appearance to custom the header is displayed but regardless of the style selected only the one default style is displayed. How can root cause be determined and how can this be corrected?

Hi, you have 'hide owner' set to 'yes' here:
    http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/4568079_iYitR#269254038

that's why you have no header. Hide Owner hides your customizing, and your navigation, and your name in the url. Set it to no, and all will be fine :)

Hi Andy, Thanks for such a quick response. You are correct. Hide Owner was set to yes but after I changed it to no I still have the same problem. With appearance set to custom I get my header but I don't get the theme selected. If I have Hide Owner set to no (now) I get the exact same thing as stated above.

Nah! Something is still wrong. It is not showing up correctly on my side for the settings selected as it should. Where did you go to change "Hide Owner"? I thought it may be strictly on my side but I checked the specific gallery from a neutral computer and it was incorrect for the settings for this gallery too.

The gallery in question at this moment is http://www.whitneyburasphoto.com/gallery/4568079_iYitR#269254038
The settings for this gallery are The selected theme is "Earth", appearance is "Custom", Style is set to "smugmug", Hide Owner is set to "no".

Additionally I took a look at one of my other galleries http://www.whitneyburasphoto.com/gallery/1979615_dLbS4#104016034 its setting are theme = denim, appearance = customer, style = smugmug and owner = no. What I know is different between these two galleries is that the first was created yesterday and the second was created October of 06 and has gone unchanged from then til now. Another other difference is that the themes are different, the new gallery is set to Earth and the old is set to Denim. Finally the community settings are different. The new gallery is set to People/Community. So knowing that somethigng has to be different I started syncing them up by starting with the Community setting and here is what happened. I changed the community setting from "People" to "None" and left the radio button set to community. My header return but the top 1/4 of it is chopped off. I changed the style to Denim and the header is all there and everything looks fine. Problem is I don't want denim for this gallery. I want Eath. Laughing.gif ... now what? headscratch.gif

IF you want your theme and your header etc you can't have it in a community, sorry :(

Set external links to "Yes" so that your header will display.

So what U R saying is the old ya can't have your cake and share it too thing.

But why if "Earth" is selected as theme does it chop off the top part of the customer header only for this particular theme? I didn't try all of them but at least 85% of the other themes and it is only doing on this one "Earth".

Thanks Andy for all the help.
