    Nice! not a scene that you usually see shot in the afternoon. The dark sky in the background and the storm light makes this a winner.thumb.gifthumb

    Light makes it!! Extremely popular spot for sunrise shot! Even if you get there in freezing temperature an hour or more before sunrise, there will be a row of photogs who are already there!

    Thanks, the contrast of the rock formations with the dark sky provided great photo ops.

    Thanks! I've seen some of the sunrise pictures taken there, great light at that time of day. On this trip I took a bunch of starry night pictures, so I wasn't about to wake up at sunrise! :D

    thanks! I tried to address Boco's concerns on composition with this crop. Thoughts?

    I like them both. The first one shows more that the formation is an arch but the overall composition is better in #2. It better draws me in without the distraction of the sky in the corner. There is also a bit of green (a tree?) at the top of #1. didn't see it the first time but definitely did on my second look. Light and colors are wonderful. Great job, Cristobal!
