I took this flowering cactus outside to photograph it. I hadn’t got far when this Marmalade hoverfly moved in as a squatter. It took off briefly and I removed the plant. The fly then hovered in front of my face and gave me a long stare.

The stereos are crosseye.

Daylight exposures, Aperture Priority. EM-1, Kiron 105, f16, hand-held.

    Yes, something appears odd with the last one but I don't think it's real.

    It's great to work in windless conditions with daylight exposure and a cooperative subject!
