EXPIRED SSL cert for Smugmug breaking my Paypal integration (slightly)

When I send someone to a paypal cart, I have the option of displaying a customised header on the Paypal page to provide some continuity of branding so many moons ago I configured this so that a banner would be served from smugmug for this purpose.

However, this file is required to be served from a secured connection and at the time, smugmug worked over HTTPS just fine.

This is the exact link I am using, and have been using since... oh, ages ago, certainly since before 14th October 2009 (as you'll see in a minute)

https://www.smugmug.com/photos/449734156_5zWat-O.jpg

This _definitely_ used to work. Now of course it results in an error page with this info:
smugmug.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for *.smugmug.com
The certificate expired on 14/10/2009 12:59 p.m.. The current time is 1/09/2011 11:24 p.m..

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

Can someone at Smugmug please advise if this is just an oversight, or have you deliberately let your SSL certificates lapse for some reason?

I know it's old, and will have been like this for ages - shows how often I place orders myself for my own photos I guess :-)

Cheers - Neil Gardner

Brilliant. Works perfectly thanks Andy... The URL above did use to work though - I copied it from my paypal page source and it worked when I implemented it. I'll just changve to the secure. url.

Your issue is not related to the problem in this thread (from 5 years ago).

There is a discussion and feature request that is related, see the thread SSL's for custom domains. Use of https is not currently supported for custom domains.
