Nice shot first of all, and nice choice of tires :) My husband applauds the black-out lettering (rather than choosing to have the white lettering face out). He says that's how true wheelers run them haha.

As for a tube bender, believe it or not it's all been done with a harbor freight bender that's at least 4 years old.
Actually, those tires are all black, no white letters at all. :D And WHAT is up with raised white letters on off-road tires anyway? The hottest off-road tire in the country right now is the Goodyear MT/R Kevlar, and the stupid thing has raise white letters. But wait, it gets worse. The tires have an asymmetrical tread that works best if the white letters on on the outside! :bash Hahah, I don't care. They're wider than what I wanted anyway.

Harbor Freight tube bender, huh? Hmmmm.... :D

Wowee. Love the pics. Though not a hard core jeeper, have done my fair share of offroading.
BTW, I noticed BF Goodrich all terrain TA KO is popular in USA too!

I was cruising the hood with the dog the other day...and I noticed an FJ for sale. A real one :) OMG, i need to go back and see what he's asking. For it's age, it looks to be in pretty good shape...I bet it's expensive.

I went back :cry It's described as a frame-up restoration. Has a 350V8 kit in it too. But by frame-up, I think the owner means "you'll have to do it". Rust in all the typical spots faded paint and a ratty interior. Oh and the price? USD32,000. I think it might be overpriced at that condition lol3.gif

Hopefully I"ll get it out on the trail for some real shots soon. I have a feeling it's going to detract from my camera fund.

It's an automatic 2006, with a/c, cruise and a 6 disc CD....quite a bit different from what my 95 has to offer. :D Oh, it's a Canadian model, so it has daytime running lights and safety warnings in french. eek7.gif

It's a Rubicon so yes, it has front and rear air activated lockers...iloveyou.gif The 4:1 transfer case is much better than my 95's 2:1 as well.

Hopefully I'll have some pics of me wheeling it after the 11th. mwink.gif

I took the Rubicon out on the trail last Saturday.

I gave my camera to a fellow jeeper to snap a shot of me getting the Rubi dirty.

    It's not clean anymore.

I wheeled 10 miles of trails, then did a lot of watching and picture taking, here are some shots I took of fellow club members....

Some pretty sick action there, Jeffro. So did that blue one get damaged? How'd he get out of there?

He has corner armor, it got scratched, but not dented. He drove out, but as he climbed up the rocky exit we heard a snap.....axle shaft. eek7.gif

Everyone that tried made it through the wedge, but a couple needed a little winch help to make it the rest of the way. Another guy broke a front axle shaft too. No big deal though, considering.

    This is me......getting a tug.

Going from 33's and 4+ inches of lift to a stock Rubicon on wore 30s, was quite a change. The lockers and automatic are sweet though.

I believe that is from Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area in Gilmer, Texas (east Texas). Fun place! I think I may have put the TJ on her side a couple of times on that trip.

Do any of you participate in dpreview challenges?
I host a series there called "The Road less travelled". A lot of challenges in that series are offroading oriented. My username is same there too!
