Various shots from a 1600 mile road trip around Scotland :)

Stars over Loch Fada - Isle of Skye. The Old man of Storr in the distance. 30 second exposure @ ISO 800

Star Trails over Loch Fada (opposite direction). 60 x 1 minute exposures @ ISO 800, F/3.5. 10mm

Dornoch Firth

Somewhere I can't remember. It was somewhere on the A838 going North.

2015-7197.jpg

A very dramatic change in weather. The reason we were unable to head to Cape Wrath on this occasion. Somewhere on the A838 about 10 miles south of Durness.

Highland Coo's

Somewhere in the Cairngorms

Awesome rainbow in the Cairngorms that was literally at the same height as we were.

Would really like to see more of the foreground in the A838 shot. The foreground is the most interesting part of the image.
The last storm shot is also very compelling. Nice work.

Thanks again all, much appreciated :)

Aaron, I'll have a look though the images I have. It's possible I have a wider view of the scene from the A838 road.

Great set, brings back memories of when I was there last fall.

Did you walk up to the Old Man of Storr?

Great stormy skies and rainbows - tha's Scotland for sure.

All wonderful shots of a very photogenic country. What's not to love - beautiful landscape, storms, rainbows, and my favorite - Highland Cattle!

Cheers all. :) It is indeed a beautiful place.

Pathfinder, sadly we didn't walk to the Old man of Storr but it's on the list definitely for next time.

Hi, #1 really should be printed BIG and hanging in the Isle of Skye tourist office somewhere - love #7 as well, very moody.

    Cheers, Richard.

A great set of images. The more I see of Scotland, the more I understand why so many people of Scottish descent settled in Montana.

    Thanks for sharing.
