I've been working at boosting the load time of my SmugMug site. Google Webmaster is giving me this list to fix and I'm not sure how much of it I have control over:
Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
Your page has 3 blocking script resources and 8 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.

None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.

Remove render-blocking JavaScript:

Optimize CSS Delivery of the following:
http://fonts.googleapis.com/…xt&family=Roboto%3A100%2C300%2C400%2C500
http://cdn.smugmug.com/…smugmug/events/events-20140219173927.css
http://cdn.smugmug.com/…881-ad4e3834d25faacf0330646edee9a89e.css
http://fonts.googleapis.com/…ss?subset=latin-ext&family=ABeeZee%3A400
http://cdn.smugmug.com/…ore-6ac197d1213d27ea2398d29d40757184.css
http://cdn.smugmug.com/…dle-f0dcad2e55ba8a8ad9ae39f656b9ddbf.css
http://cdn.smugmug.com/…dle-e0d1384a96d9c1d43363e5148cbe99cb.css
http://cdn.smugmug.com/…631420-0-2-p-247235-1-1422583281-min.css

Any ideas? I'm thinking the cdn.smugmug.com stuff is all css and js related to the theme and not what I've put in as custom. And I know that the two fonts are related to the font selections I made. So I'm not sure that I can rev it up like Google suggests. :dunno

That isn't anything you have to worry about. Our system already optimizes the code files as much as possible.

The only thing you have control over are the fonts. If you use different fonts on your site, the site will also have to loads those fonts from google separately. However, two fonts shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you! The scores they give me for my speed are taking the biggest hit through those pieces of code, so I figured that I'd double check.
