Azure damselfly emergence part 1

Missed the beginning but found an azure damselfly emerging on a marsh marigold stem in the middle of the neighbour's pond. I found I just could not safely shoot it where it was so I carefully cut the stem and moved it to the bank - took a few shots and then moved it again to a much easier shooting position to watch it as it fully emerged.
5Dmk2/MPE-65/ 430Ex flash. All shots focus stacked using zerene.

    Wow! I remember your 5 part series before.....incredible then and incredible now! That one was like an alien birth. Bit scary.....this one has much more warmer tones!

    Thanks SB for the comments - Yes the colouring is a bit more subdued. The Previous ones I have done have all been Large red damselflies.
