Cyndi Previews - Dark Fairy

Yes there is a storyline coming in keeping with my recent practice of "shoot within a shoot" but I need to put that together next week. For now, here are some "straight modeling" images Cyndi and I shot before we started the story. At least my "blurred background" fan club should be happy today.:rofl

Just a note, this is my typical "no flash-no reflectors" set. The hairlight you may see is reflected off this HUGE white rock to camera right.

We like silly test shots, remember?

8 really says something, I love it. Very creative. Could be used as a music album cover. Most of these I would have chosen thinner DOF, but we've been over this. 2 to me looks like an in-between-poses grab shot so it's not doing it for me. 5, imo, is kind of a cliche pose and shooting from below has rounded her face a bit.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

    Thanks JM.

They are all shot wide open (f 4.0) and at least middle tele with that waterfall 50' behind her. What you see is what I got.

    Thanks D3.

This was shoot 40 over 3 years with Cyndi so and we try to mix things up a bit . Still, every so often we get a "poser". Laughing.gif

I too have to go with 2, 5 and 8. Simply beautiful work with natural light and using your environment to it's full potential re: reflected light

2,5, and 8 as well. The backgrounds are controlled, the focus is on her and creates a fantasy feel for the shoot.
