***DONE :thumb***

Thought it might be interesting to put all of my entries and trials into one gallery. May be really fun to look back through after the year is over.

    i like your idea, ann
the thought had crossed my mind also, but i haven't done it yet. the reason i participate in challenges is to improve my skills, so i was thinking it would be nice to put them all in one spot and hopefully after a year i'll be able to see some progress! thanks for sharing your idea, i think i'll set mine up too!

Great idea, I'm so new to smugmug I haven't even figured out how to do a new gallery yet. :D I thought about doing a PAD thing, but it didin't work out very well. I saw somebody did a APAD gallery, (Almost A Picture A Day) ... The gallery looks good. Ella is so cute. I especially like your snow pictures.

I am doing this as well for both the Challenges and Nikolai's assignments. Just one gallery with them all tossed in- even the bad ones. I'll clean it up at some point.

    Hey everyone

Good to know others are doing the same thing. I think it will be a lot of fun to review at the end of it all. As I mentioned in the post, I open my gallery to critique - of past entries and of course, current ones.

I am not really sure I like posting for precriticism - my entry needs to come from my gut knowledge that it is right.
Current thoughts (I am still actively shooting for 'the' shot, lean toward this one:

    Ann,
I like your new avatar:-) iloveyou.gif

BTW, porcupines are pretty irregular, methinks, wanna try it? mwink.gif

Nice shots, remind me of my home area, we got a lot of those...thumb.gif
Did you know Russian and Canadian climates/flora are VERY close? mwink.gif
No porcupines though, they do not survive in our environment. Only wolves, foxes and bears... rolleyes1.gif

    Hi Nik

Yep, the porcupine represents me well, prickly on the outside, soft and docile in reality!rolleyes1.gifroflrolleyes1.gif

Yes, Canada is quite similar to Russia - I certainly feel like I've been exiled to Siberia.....6 straight months of snowcover here - ugh!rolleyes1.gif

When I look at the porcupine, I see regularity - repeating, symmetric patterning. But I have some new shots from this afternoon so maybe one of those will work. And there is still a week, right?

I had the same feeling... It's funny... I had an entry ready for #1 on Tuesday, I had a solid idea for the #2 on Wednesday, but for the #3 I only came to something better than a D- only on Saturday...

I guess I'm saying: no worries, it will come :-) iloveyou.gif
You already made it in the very first round, I'm sure you will make it again! deal.gif

It is nice going back to see your progress. I bought my DSLR at the start of July last year and submitted my first photo at the beginning of September. I can certainly see all the progress I have made since then in my galleries.

So I waffled between these for #3:

The one I entered - my take on 'irregular' is an irregular technique:

    and Scalloped:

I guess we will see if I made a good decision......

Okay, clearly I missed the mark on 3. I have another idea for 4 that I am going to try to get tomorrow. Here is the first one I've considered:
