    Nice shot! I like that you got some nearby stars in there too.

    Just finished up the entire sequence from Chicago. Surreal is maybe a word for this year's eclipse. Was 28 degrees, snowing and extremely cloudy until one minute before start. Then it cleared entirely. Four hours and fifty minutes of clear sky and then one minute afterwards, the sky returned to full overcast again. This is the opposite of what usually happens here and it is adequate pay back for all the lousy skies in the past. Now I need some sleep.

    I live in San Jose and all I saw was overcast / thin clouds and a bright moon with the detail obscured and no stars.

    How the heck did you get this clear shot???

    there was clouds here as well. I cleaned up as best I could do in post!

    I'm close to the SF airport and it looked cloudy at 10 ....
