How do you create a slide show where the slideshow images take of 75% - 80% of the home page?

In new SmugMug, go into customization, select homepage, drag a Photos... Slideshow content block to the page. Configure the block to identify the gallery, height, and auto height ratio. I've posted a screen shot of the slideshow content block setup below.
If you're still using legacy smugmug I believe there is a slideshow you can add to your homepage. See this post and the help page at http://legacyhelp.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/1002386-homepage-slideshow-not-showing-photos-from-your-galleries-.
