A steam boat meet at lock 2 on the Erie canal.

Grandson and I had a wonderful time. It's always a shocker how quiet steam-powered boats are

    Now, you don't see too many steamers out on the water these days. Amazing how complicated those engines look with the gauges and copper pipes, but they sure look cool (er - or hot).

    Glad you liked the steam boats.

    My grandson and I went (he's 7) and he didn't dismiss this as totally boring, so I think he liked them. I know I did. Lock 2 is full of foto ops.
