Not the best but!

Was at Winslow Hill in Benezette Pa. yesterday morning before sunrise. The bulls were yodeling in almost every hollow but the heavy fog kept them hidden.
When daylight arrived we followed the bugles trying to find them. Photo op's were few and far between did get a few shots but not real happy with them.
I wont say it was a bad day because any day spent with the elk is a good one to me.

Normally I would toss a pic like this
but when I added the frame I liked the effect. Here are two versions one regular edit the other in the oil effect. I am getting to like the kind of dreamy effect of this oil edit.

I like it! There's a magic element here...catching the wild things dealing with the not-so-wild things (the road and human entrance into their world, or vice versa). My eye wishes the oil version was a tad darker, so as to let the leaf continue to be pumpkin-orange.

Very nice capture. I had no idea there were elk this far east. The painterly effect seems to grow on me the each time I go back to it.
