So we went to our local stately home again on Sunday. The Spitfire was still there, so I got some more shots, from a slightly different angle.

I resisited the temptation to do some over-cooked HDR, but these are still 7 bracketed shots blended in Photoshop (so, they are HDR).

Your thoughts, as ever, good and bad, will be appreciated, although my main focus is on the composition and framing. What do you think to that?

Nice shots. I much prefer the more restrained processing you exhibit here....as opposed to your prior work with the Spitfire.

I was all set up to take a flight in a very rare two-place Spitfire a couple of years ago. The day before I was to go up, the plane developed some mechanical issues and I missed my chance. Bummer.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thanks. I like the restrained versions too, but sometimes it's good to push the boundaries...some people even like it. :)

    I would love a ride in a Spitfire...shame you missed yours. :/
