photons meet black holes

A great thought-provoker, thanks. Perhaps we could experiment with this on larger temporal and spatial scales by firing 'bullets' from a water gun. I have seen a fountain discharging 'cylinders' of water by turning the supply on and off. One of the main differences I guess is that the forces that hold water molecules together are different from the miniscule gravitation between photons. Should get interesting results with water, if statistically different from light!
