I'm such a nerd - wife and kids are out of the house for the night so what do I do? Photo mission of course!

Great captures. 1st has great comp and leading lines. 2nd is my favorite, great clouds, colors and such a feeling of tranquility. A beautiful end of the day shot.

    Yeah, super images!
I would have cleaned up bottom left corner of first one.....not adding anything and making it busy and distracting!

We all need those secret solo photo missions. Cleans out the cobwebs. Jack, looks like you got a nice shot of Spring Point and the lighthouse. That's a pretty cool old wall of stone! Is that second shot the harbor behind it?

Thanks David. Indeed I turned around after taking the shot of Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse and saw the dramatic sunset developing. I walked a short distance and took the 2nd shot of Spring Point Marina facing in the direction of Portland Harbor, but it isn't quite in the harbor, it's just around the corner.

I love the way the water picks up the rich colors of the sky. Great!

The contrasting subjects in the second shot are amazing, rather Van Gogh-ish. Well done.

Both super shots. Would love to see the sky from no. 2 over the composition of no. 1
You'll have to return, and keep on returning!! ;-)
